About

Isabel Revill started the farm shop in 2003 selling asparagus grown in the field next to an old stable that was previously used as a games room for the family. Using a cash tin and trestle table things were basic and rustic. Isabel then started introducing other produce grown on the farm and word soon started spreading locally about the new farm shop in Defford.

At the local farmers market in Welland, Isabel met with local small producers of quality foods and some soon became suppliers to the farm shop and still supplying us today. We also joined HEFF (Heart of England fine foods) and this gave us links to other producers locally so we introduced local dairy products, meats, biscuits and a wide range of other local produce into the Farm Shop.

Isabel’s son-in-law Darren Hedges now manages the shop and local staff assist in the day to day running. Darren was a fine art photographic printer in London before moving with his family from Surrey to Worcestershire.

Revills now stock an even larger range of local meats and game. Our fish comes from St. Ives in Cornwall where it's prepared to order, frozen, and then sent overnight to the Farm Shop. Our seasonal vegetables are grown by the Revill's family, and we also source local apples, pears, plums, damsons and local preserves.

At Christmas we have a large range of Christmas Food including local turkeys either barn-reared white or free range bronze, duck and goose and pre ordered vegetable boxes to collect with your order - and for those cold winters nights we have logs, kindling and coal for sale.
